Welcome back to term 2.
Over the holidays I completed marking all written tests that were undertaken by students in years 3 to 6. Congratulations go to the following students who achieved outstanding results (45 or more out of a possible 50).
Immanuel - Room 8
Alexia - Room 8
Jalen - Room 11
Naveed - Room 11
Chloe - Room 12
Ida - Room 12
Raymond - Room 13
Ayala - Room 13
Lucy - Room 15
Steven - Room 15
Logan - Room 18
Fearne - Room 18
Angus - Room 21
Sandra - Room 21
Samuel - Room 21
Paarenaz - Room 21
Shveni - Room 21
Francis - Room 23
There were many more students who achieved marks in the high 30s and low 40s which was fantastic to see! Students who were either away during testing or whom did not achieve satisfactory marks, will have the opportunity to sit a similar test toward the end of term 2, with additional support material provided if considered necessary.
Throughout term 2 all classes will be revising content from term one and extending their vocabulary. Years 4 to 6 will write a letter that incorporates many of the topics taught throughout the first semester.
The words or phrase of the week will continue throughout term 2. I encourage all students to incorporate these words into their daily routines wherever possible. Parents can support their children by encouraging them to share their learning.
